Advocacy for the rights of Vulnerable and Marginalized communities - Projects Punjab AIDS Consortium and NWFP AIDS Consortium are networks of NGOs working for the prevention and control of HIV and AIDS in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtoonkwah Provinces. Both consortiums are jointly implementing a project titled “Advocacy for the Rights of Vulnerable and Marginalized Communities” in two provinces. The project is being funded by Provincial AIDS Control Programs through small grants program. The target populations are Female Sex workers (FSWs) and Men Who Have Sex with Men (MSM). The Projects aims adopt a two pronged strategy targeting both the duty bearers and rights holders. SSD is the technical partner in the project responsible for developing the understanding and capacity of the target communities regarding Rights Based Approach. SSD is working with groups of FSWs and MSM and building their capacity through training workshops, advocacy events and a leadership development program.
